Sig Sauer Mcx Virtus Tacops Pistol – .300 Blackout

Categories:

The SIG MCX pistol is a rifle pistol configuration with a 229 mm (9 in) or 292 mm (11.5 in) barrel and comes with SIG Sauer SBX (pistol stabilizer bar) or SIG Sauer PCB (pistol revolving contour fold). braces). The MCX is available in shotgun, carbine, short-barreled shotgun and pistol configurations (the latter configuration usually meets the definition of a compact carbine, but with a pistol clip rather than a stock). Originally chambered for the 300 AAC Blackout, SIG created the MCX rifle to meet the same needs that inspired the AAC Honey badger.

Equipped with a 5.5-inch PDW barrel, the MCX platform has never been more compact and affordable. Designed for special operations, the MCX Virtus short barrel combines performance, stealth and reliability. other MCX firearms.

SIG MCX Upper Receiver assemblies can be used with most AR-15 Lower Receiver assemblies with the addition of the Lower Receiver Adapter Kit included with most Virtus MCX Upper Receiver kits. Barrel extensions are permanently installed on MCX barrels at the SIG Sauer factory to ensure sufficient head spacing. At the last minute I found that other MCX rods DO NOT fit either the rattle or the reed pad.

Plus, you can still fit your Rattler rod onto the top of the Virtus if you decide you want to make it 6.75 inches shorter. Another plus over the rattle is the full-size top receiver and you can swap the rods and forend without any problem.

It features a hard-coated anodized receiver and 6.75″ cold-forged carbon steel barrel for .300 blackouts for unmatched flexibility. Sigs’ proven internal recoil system provides reduced recoil and a compact platform. Available in Patrol, Pistol and SBR variants, Stealth Grey or FDE colours, the MCX VIRTUS uses the proven SIG SAUER short stroke system and a unique internal recoil system that eliminates the M4 style buffer tube. For improved accuracy, the MCX VIRTUS pistol uses the new Matchlite ™ Duo trigger for a sharp, clean shot. Unlike the MCX, the MCX Virtus has a “SIG Matchlite Duo” two-stage trigger that is pure in function and has a trigger pull of about 2040 to 2720 grams instead of a standard military trigger.

Available in .556 NATO and 300 BLK calibers, the Virtus rifle is the result of consultations with special operations units around the world who provided feedback on the original MCX rifle. All Virtus MCX platforms are unmatched for reliability and are rated for over 20,000 rounds with no part replacement required.

The SIG MCX RATTLER is a variant of the short-barreled shotgun for use as a personal protective weapon, equipped with a barrel length of 140 mm (5.5 inches) and equipped with a Picatinny tail connector for attaching a compact stock or folding PCB (contour strut). … It has a 292mm (11.5 “) barrel for 5.56x45mm NATO and a 140mm (5.5”) barrel and 229mm (9 “) barrel for the .300 AAC Blackout.

While its accuracy is about the same as a rifle in the same price range, it outperforms the competition in functionality and modularity. The Sig MCX Rattler is now rebranded as the Virtus SBR, but whatever you call it, it’s pretty awesome. The 300 BLK caliber SIG MCX Tacops rifle is a configuration from the SIG MCX hotline, proving once again that AR style owners have more fun. In a video review, Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics discusses the rifle in detail and his thoughts on the 300 BLK itself.

As with any firearm, choosing a 300 BLK shotgun depends on your needs. I already have several 300 blk ar15 style systems, including the pistol version. There’s also the standard Rattler, another option for getting a black pistol. MCX currently offers 5.56x45mm and 300BLK calibers, while SIG and some dealers and distributors have hinted at 7.62×39 for the commercial market.

At the time of this writing, there are no authorized aftermarket barrels for the MCX. For products only available from the manufacturer, delivery times can be several weeks or more, subject to availability.

Most orders over $ 100 will ship with a signature to ensure they reach you. If you are going to pay by card, you will need to call to pay. The purchaser must be familiar with local and national laws.

SIG Sauer’s marketing and advertising is good at spreading the word about new products and their applications, but I wanted to put together a detailed user manual on functionality, maintenance, upgrades and the use of MCX rifles and pistols in the field. For the purposes of this guide, I will continue to list the Virtus MCX variants – the current version of the SIG pistol / carbine / rifle.

Equipped with a 2-stage Matchlite trigger, 6 3/4 ” forged barrel, foldable PCB holder and inert training device to easily overpower TACOP. This results in the platform being restricted to supersonic ammunition in P2 if an inert training device installed by POF told me that their pistol would not work in subsonic mode without suppression, but their supersonic bullets do not have the same restrictions as the PWS. folding brace which I like.

This is probably the Rattler I’ll be looking at along the way. This is a good time to buy a 9 “Virtus and then wait for a 6.75” rod. This is a good place to buy a 9 “Virtus rod and wait for a 6.75” rod. Spending $ 500-600 for another set of barrels on top of the Virtus will make the Tacops route more attractive than it already was.

Maybe someday I will add Rattler, but I think I will get more Virtus or Tacops, since 2 is one and all. So for this review, you get the Tacops MCX review, but you also get the muffler review, at least in regards to the 300 BLK round. The combination of these two qualities constitutes the SIG Sauer MCX Rifle and Pistol Platform – a system that seems to me to be superior in many ways to the well-known AR-15.
