S&W M&P15 Sport Ii Ar-15 5.56 Nato Rifle Moe Handguard

Categories:

The M&P(Military and Police) Sport 15 II is a starting-level AR-15, and for this article, we are going to be discussing optics ready for M&P 15 Sport II equipped M-LOK handguards. The lightweight, durable M & P15 rifles are a great blend of functionality and form. Their Optic Ready rifles are built to last. Engineered to handle a variety of recreation, sports shooting, and professional applications, the M P15 rifles are simple to outfit, yet difficult to put down.

Gunmaker Smith & Wesson offers M&P15 semiautomatic rifles in several different configurations, tailored for specific shooting applications and styles. In May 2008, Smith & Wesson introduced its first AR-15 rifles with a new cartridge, the Model M & P15R, an off-the-shelf AR platform rifle chambered in the Russian 5.45x39mm round. Gunmaker Smith & Wesson announced its first gas-piston, short-stroke gas-operated rifles, the S&W M & P15 PS and PSX (Piston AR-15), in January 2009. With gas operated action and a chromed trigger pin, the Smith & Wesson M & P15 Sport II.223 Rem/5.56 NATO semiautomatic rifle is an excellent recreational shooting option.

The gun itself generally sells for less than $800, and adding optics or sights quickly makes for a rifle tailored to a users needs. One rifle at the lower end of the budget spectrum is the low-cost, competent Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II. If you can tolerate the fairly sensible tradeoffs made for the sake of cost, then you are in no danger of making a mistake when purchasing an AR-15. Remember, we are not comparing this firearm to machine guns, but rather, the user–a civilian looking for a rugged yet affordable rifle.

The AR-15 is equipped as an intermediate-level weapon, yet is priced as a high-open-end rifle. The rifle has several models, which are chambered for the 5.56mm NATO/.223 Remington, the.22 Long Rifle, and Russian 5.45x39mm. The standard rifle comes equipped with Magpul MBUS rear sights, Magpul PMAG M3 30 round magazines, forward assist, and a dust cover, along with 6-position folding stocks. The optic-ready version of the gun itself does away with not just a front sight base, but also a rear back up sight, instead featuring a Picatinny rail on the upper receiver.

There is also no provision to attach a M203 grenade launcher to the barrel, though if you are planning to use one, I doubt that an AR-15 is really a rifle for you either way. We recommend Magpuls BAD lever-action for much quicker charging: The charging aid reduces charging time by moving the bolt-release paddles to the right of the rifle, which allows your trigger finger to manipulate the bolt from a firing-control/ready position. While cheap, the gun itself uses a reliable, proven operation system that absolutely works when needed. The AR-15 has delivered for me on reliability, precision, modularity, and ease-of-use time and time again.

Magpuls MOE handguard allows accessories like lasers, lights, sling rings, and bipods, which mount using an M-LOK mounting system, to attach to the gun itself rapidly and reliably. You do not need an ultra-fancy, expensive handguard, all you need is something like Magpuls MOE SL two-piece drop-in handguard, which attaches directly onto a Delta Ring, without spending a lot of money. This is definitely the best stock to choose from whether it is a budget AR build or an upper-end AR15 build. Low drag and no catch: A high-quality stock turns MP15s into low-drag, no-catch, and quick-action sport rifles. Add in Sling attachment points: Use whatever QD-style push-button configuration you want. There are tons of grips on the market that improve AR15 rifle handling, BCMs Gunfighter Grips are our favorites.

Adding an optic to your rifle makes shooting much more enjoyable and more interesting than using only iron sights. Sport II Beauty The Sport II is not all about skin-deep, but the small details, much of which are lacking in cheap rifles. The bolt carrier of the Sport II is finished with phosphate finish outside, chrome lining the interior, and so is the internals of the gas block. There are many rifles offered for comparable prices that are stripped back without either of those niceties.

Consider the Smith & Wesson lifetime service policy is one thing you do not get with the Franken Rifle. Fees may vary, so consult an FFL dealer in advance to get a quote for fees associated with transferring a firearm. It can take an extra day or so for the FFL Dealer to be ready to handle your firearm transfer. Choose a local Federal Guns Licensee (FFL) dealer who will take possession of the firearm and perform the transfer.

The Customer is responsible for both delivery charges when returning and also the delivery charges on shipments rejected. If the order was shipped by mistake, we may recommend the customer to return the order in an unopened state, and we will reimburse the customer. By placing an order, a customer agrees that we will be the final arbiter for inaccuracies in an online catalogue.

If you decide not to use a carrier who offers tracking and insurance, or who does not state the total cost of your products, then you are responsible for any losses or damages of your products when they are shipped. You must be 18 years or older to buy rifle or shotgun ammo, and 21 years or older to buy handgun ammo.

The upper receiver on the Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II is chambered for 5.56mm, has a 16-inch, 4140-steel barrel, and features Magpul MBUS rear sights and A2 front sights to make acquiring targets easier.
