S&W M&P15 Sport Ii Ar-15 5.56 Nato Rifle Moe Handguard

Categories:

The M&P(Military and Police) Sport 15 II is a starting-level AR-15, and for this article, we are going to be discussing optics ready for M&P 15 Sport II equipped M-LOK handguards. The rifle is built for multi-applications under various conditions, and is easily upgraded. The gun itself is usually sold for less than $800, and adding optics or sights quickly makes for a rifle tailored to a users needs.

Gunmaker Smith & Wesson offers its semiautomatic rifles, the M&P15, in several different configurations, tailored for particular shooting applications and styles. In May 2008, Smith & Wesson introduced its first AR-15 rifles with a new cartridge, the Model M & P15R, an off-the-shelf AR platform rifle chambered in the Russian 5.45x39mm round. Gunmaker Smith & Wesson announced its first gas-piston, short-stroke gas-operated rifles, the S&W M & P15 PS and PSX (Piston AR-15), in January 2009.

With gas operated action and a chromed trigger pin, the Smith & Wesson M & P15 Sport II.223 Rem/5.56 NATO semiautomatic rifle is an excellent recreational shooting option. One rifle at the lower end of the budget spectrum is the reasonably priced, competently built Smith & Wesson M & P15 Sport II. There are many comparable priced rifles being offered which are stripped back with none of those goodies.

Remember, we are not comparing the AR-15 to machine guns, but to the civilian user that needs a rugged, yet affordable rifle. This rifle is equipped as an intermediate-level weapon, yet is priced as a high-open-end rifle. While cheap, the weapon itself uses a solid, proven OS that absolutely works when needed. The AR-15 has delivered for me on reliability, precision, modularity, and ease-of-use time and time again.

Engineered to handle a variety of recreational, sports-shooting, and professional applications, the M P15 rifle is simple to customize, yet difficult to put down. M&P15 rifles are light yet durable, embodied in their optimal blend of functionality and form. Sport II Beauty The Sport II is more than skin deep, the beauty is the small details, much of which are lacking in the cheapo rifles.

The bolt carrier of the Sport II is finished with phosphate finish outside, chrome lining the interior, and so is the internals of the gas block. The optic-ready version of the gun itself is missing not just a front sight base, but also a rear back up sight, and instead features a Picatinny-rail on the upper receiver. Adding an optic to a rifle makes shooting much more enjoyable and interesting than using just iron sights.

The standard rifle comes equipped with Magpuls MBUS rear sight, Magpul 30 round PMAG M3, forward assist, and a dust cover, along with the 6-position folding stock. The rifle has several models, which are chambered in the 5.56mm NATO/.223 Remington, the.22 Long Rifle, and Russian 5.45x39mm. There is also no provision to attach the M203 Grenade Launcher to the barrel, though if you are planning to use one, I doubt that an AR-15 is a rifle for you either way.

We recommend Magpuls BAD lever-action for much quicker charging: The charging aid reduces charging time by moving the bolt-release paddles to the right of the rifle, which allows your trigger finger to manipulate the bolt from a firing-control/ready position.

There are many grips on the market that improve AR15 rifle handling, our favourite is the BCM Gunfighter Grip. Magpuls MOE Handguard allows accessories like lasers, lights, sling rings, and bipods, which mount using an M-LOK mounting system, to attach to the gun itself fast and secure. You do not need an ultra-fancy, expensive handguard, all you need is something like Magpuls MOE SL two-piece drop-in handguard, which attaches directly onto a Delta Ring, without spending a lot of money. This is definitely the best stock to choose from whether it is a budget AR build or an upper-end AR15 build. Low drag and no catch: A high-quality stock turns MP15s into low-drag, no-catch, and quick-action sport rifles. Add in Sling attachment points: Use whatever QD-style push-button configuration you want.

If you can tolerate the fairly sensible tradeoffs made for the sake of price, you cannot go wrong when buying the AR-15. Consider the fact that Smith & Wessons lifetime service policy is something that you do not get with the Franken Rifle.
