The bolt carrier of the Sport II is finished with phosphate finish outside, chrome lining the interior, and so is the internals of the gas block. The optic-ready version of the gun itself is missing not just a front sight base, but also a rear back up sight, and instead features a Picatinny-rail on the upper receiver. Adding an optic to a rifle makes shooting much more enjoyable and interesting than using just iron sights.
